Unlike the slaughter of animal for furs and hides, humans are not killed for their hair. I think its ok if you know the source of the hair. I read an article in FIRST magazine, which showed a picture of a little girl in the far east having her hair literally pulled from her head to be sold for wigs. I don't think this is acceptable.
